How to Process The UI Certificate

This is a guideline to aid graduates of the college of medicine, get their University of Ibadan certificate at the time of writing of this article in September 2020.

Requirements to get the Certificate

• Memo Certificate
• Completed Clearance forms - You will get the empty one at the results office (3rd floor) in the COMUI administrative building.
  • NB: Financial clearance will necessitate that you bring all your school fees receipts from 100 level to final year.
• Original clearance slips from KDL, Odeku library and student affairs
• Admission clearance package
• Statement of result
• School ID card

Getting the Memo Certificate

To get the Memo of certificate, you need to get the authority to pay for Memo at 3rd floor General Office in the College of Medicine Administrative Building (you’ll have to show your filled clearance form before they give you the authority). After paying, then you’ll attach the Memo receipt and original clearance form and submit at the same office and you’ll be told when to come back for your Memo.

Paying for the the Memo

You pay via Remita into the COMUI- General processing and admin fees.

Print out the remita receipt (indicate that you are paying for memo, by writing ‘MEMO’ on the remita receipt) and take it to the college for conversion into an official COMUI receipt.

Payment for the certificate on Remita

Pay 7,500 certificate fee on remita. Print out the receipt and take it to the UI cash office just opposite the staircase entrance to the VC’s office in the Trenchard-admin complex for conversion into a UI official receipt. I think you will need to submit a photocopy of your statement of result for this.

Next

Make Photocopies of these documents for your keeps sake, also you might need the ID card when you go for NYSC camp. A number of people didnt submit their ID cards as they informed the collecting officer that they neede it for NYSC documentation.

Documentation to submit for certificate

  • The bundle we submitted at the Admissions office close to Idia Hall (Includes the form, authority to pay, JAMB and WAEC results, JAMB admission letter, and official UI admission letter)
• Photocopy of your Statement of result
• School ID card

Submission of Documents

They’ll be submitted to an office on the 2nd floor of the building opposite UI bakery, just adjacent to the University Health Centre (Jaja Clinic), where you will then collect your original University of Ibadan certificate.
